cute as a button~

All the {ippity} chicks are showcasing the {ippity} Stitches of Buttons stamp today!

If you would like to see everyone's creations, go visit the Unity {ippity} blog and you can see them all!

Papers and letters are from We R Memory Keepers; buttons are from Stampin' Up.

Yes, I fussy cut every button on this card...but I think it looks too busy, right?
You know how you envision something and then when you create it, it's NOT what you wanted?  Yea, that happened on this card.
The red-ish background is actually sprayed with Candy Apply Red Glimmer Mist, but you really can't tell in the photo.

Thanks for looking!
Happy {ippity} day!

'beautiful moments' ~

Have you discovered the new Carta Bella line?

I discovered the 'beautiful moments' paper line...it is sooooo pretty!

I created this for their 'beautiful moments' contest on FB.  It's a mini album/birthday card and I had my son in mind...but I have to wait till his birthday...and it's still 6 months away...talk about thinking ahead!

And who says you can't use 'pink' for a boy's birthday!!!  I kinda thought of going on the sentimental journey with my son's birthday memories from younger days.  He's at that point of not needing mom anymore! Ack!
I used some mini kraft envelopes and each pocket has a mini tag.
The 'beautiful moments' is a sticker and I placed it on very vanilla cardstock, then cut it out to give an edging around it and popped it up with popdots.

This is the cover kraft envelope and this is the tag that was inside with my son's birth date.

Here's the next envelope and tag, that I will write on.

I sponged each tag and envelope with Vintage Photo distressed ink.

I think I will also put a gift card in this envelope with this tag.
These kraft envelopes are the perfect size for gift cards.

And here's the last envelope and tag.
Every single piece of paper, cardstock, stickers are all part of this gorgeous paper line.

Carta Bella.
Beautiful Moments.

Here's the FB link for Carta Bella if you'd like to visit!
Thanks for coming by!

what's cooking chicks?

Woohoo!  The {ippity} chicks are focusing on one {ippity} set today
Picture of What's Cooking?

Do you have those days that you aren't sure what to prepare for dinner?
Well I do, and I decided to take some action...I re-purposed this box to make this recipe card holder.  It's going to be a 'pick a category and pull a card (no peeking)' to see what we are having for dinner. My son and I have a deal that whatever cards we pull...that's what we are having for dinner!
I used all Crate Papers "Farmhouse" line of papers and trims.
I love how my little chef came out all paper pieced with these papers,
and I colored his face and tray with Copics...ca-ute!!!

Oh, did you notice the mustache, does it look a little thick? LOL...it's black baker's twine from Kim's Etsy Endless Inkabilities shop.  I used pop dots to bring a little dimension when I paper pieced him.

I was inspired by the shapes and lots of similar colors from
Click on the link above and go join in...you've got two weeks!

Here's what the box looked like before...
it was from a wedding...

 Here's what I did...

I made six index cards: main dish, side dish, gravy/sauce, bread/biscuits, desserts, and drinks.
These labels are 4x3 and all I did was cut them apart from the one Crate Paper sheet they come on.  Then I typed and printed the names for the cards, cut them apart and pasted them in pieces.  I finished them off with the Crate Paper Trims!
I also cut out extra pieces of 4x3 cardstock to hand write my recipes and then put behind each category.

In this photo, you can see how I staggered the trims on the cards, as they separate each category.

I looooove this line of paper...
Crate Paper,
Farmhouse.

Thanks for letting me share my creation!
So do you know 'What's Cooking?' for dinner tonight?
*smile*
Have a fantastic {ippity} kind of day!

{ippity} Books for Chick Challenges~

Hi there!  I finally had a little time to play with my {ippity} and it was so much fun!  I miss it a lot, and I'm hoping I can play more often!

Look at the fun 'paper back pack' I created with my
{ippity} Books a'Flutter and {ippity} Stitches of Buttons.
Aren't these bags so cute...I love creating with bags!!!  Look at the ca-ute polka dots and the school rule lined mini bags!
I bought these from Kim over at her Etsy Endless Inkabilities shop:
I put some thin magnets underneath both buttons, so I can open and close the bags.  I stuffed the bags with tissue paper to show that you can fill them up with fun gifts (that's why they look kinda bumpy, LOL). I just had to put pattern papers on the books, so yes...there was some fussy cutting involved.

Hey, I'm hosting the sketch challenge over at Chick Challenges this week!  Click HERE to go to the Chick Challenges blog and play...and you could win these two {ippity} sets (with some other goodies):

{ippity} Books a'Flutter  and  {ippity} Book It!

Here's the sketch...I'd love to see what you can create with this!:

Here's the back view to show the 'faux back pack straps' (red twine, also from Kim's Etsy shop..excellent and quick service!):

And a close-up of one of the faux buttons that I stamped.  This button is a perfect size to use with a 1" circle punch!

I hope you can join me with my sketch challenge this week! You have a week to create and link up!

Whew! I think we have to go school shopping for supplies and clothes soon...only about 30 days for us here in Arizona till school starts!  That's why I have 'school' on my mind...where did the summer go???
Have a fantastic {ippity} kind of day!
