{ippity} 'THANKS(giving)' Blog Hop~

HELLO and WELCOME!!!
...to the thanks(giving) blog hop with some {ippity} chicks!!

Thanksgiving is a great time of year and it marks the beginning of the holiday season.
It's also a time to think about all we are thankful for.
What a great time to have a blog hop centered around giving thanks and Thanksgiving!
So pull up a chair, grab your favorite beverage, and hop through the blogs to be inspired!

Since our theme is 'thanks' (and I've bolded every 'thanks' in this post..heehee)
I'm sharing a little project of 'thank you' tags.
Here is the mini bag that I decorated (the tags are inside):
The side strip is a piece of ribbon which I sewed pieces of pattern paper to and then stitched it to the cardstock.

I used the current sketch at Chick Challenges CC07:
Still time to play...go check it out!

Here are the mini tags that can be put on any 'thank you' gift, such as around a bottle of wine or tied to a present:
I stitched more the of the ribbon with pattern paper onto the ends of these tags.

All the sentiments were from various {ippity} stamp sets:
'many thanks' is from {ippity} bitty pixie paisley
'Thanks.' is from {ippity} The Simple Things
'Thanks' is from {ippity} Regal Greetings
'thanks so much' is from {ippity} Just Wanted to Say
Isn't this a great variety of 'thanks' sentiments?
If you NEED any of these sets, you can visit my {ippity} shop HERE.

And it's fitting that I also entered this project into the
Photobucket
Simon Says ,,,,,,,, THANKSGIVING/THANK YOU Challenge

Here is another picture of the mini bag and the mini tags:

To thank you so much for stopping by,
I would like to send this mini bag and tags project to one random commenter. Just leave a comment and I will pick a winner and post it on Wednesday, November 23rd.

...believe II

It's interesting how you realize things in life...like the fact that I never made a 'banner' on a card, or anywhere until 2010! What's up with that?

Well, Amy's Flashback Friday challenges sure make me search for some fun cards that I totally forgot I had created.  Her fabulous guest designer, Sylvia challenged us to find our first 'banner'!  I couldn't find one till I found this card on July 1, 2010...my word 'believe' counts as a banner, right?:
You can click on my original post of ...believe . I had used my Unity Stamp Co Donna Downey set "She Said" which has this wonderful quote on my card.

I used the emboss resist technique for the word believe and separated each letter from the quote onto little tags that I had. I then spongedtwo colors of ink onto the tags and added a little pearl to each. Added the tags to the ribbon for a hanging 'banner' efffect. I distressed some of the layer edges and added a piece of vellum under the banner, using Martha Stewart's Lace Doily punch.

Amy sure has a way of helping to go back in time with her Flashback Friday challenge!  This was fun (and they all have been)!  Go join in...you have until November 25th to get your banner entry in!

Thanks for reminiscing with me!
And 'believe' in YOUR potential!

I made this little 'hanger' for three challenges and it will be one of my Christmas decorations. The edge of my 'medallion/rosette' is the Fiskars All-A-Fleur Lis Border Punch.

I colored with my Copic Markers and popped up the ski's for dimension.

Challenges:

(I sew'd my ribbon to make ruffles and used some colors from these pictures)
