...think SNOW!~

Okay, okay, I know some of you are probably saying...no, no, no snow yet! But if you were in Phoenix with 105 degree weather ALL WEEK long and the forecast for 107 degrees by Sunday and Monday...you would be wishing for snow too...heehee!

So my 'friends with flair'...it's Friday!  To cool myself down, I had to make a 'snowy' card using my Flower Soft, and these cutie pie Unity penguins.
Can you tell it is a 'diorama'?  It folds so easy to put in an envelope to send off to someone too!
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Stamps: Unity-Jolly Little Winter
C/S: SU Pacific Point and Bashful Blue, Neenah Solar White, SU Maine Blueberry DSP
Ink: Memento Noir, Copic Markers, SU Whisper White

Technique: Diorama card--if you would like to make one of your own, click HERE to find instructions over at SCS!

Flower Soft is all the fluffy stuff on the white hills and the penguin's ear muffs--did you know that Flower Soft is a new 'member' company in the forum at SCS?  Click HERE to go check them out!

      Also, this card was inspired by Unity's Sketch Challenge-HHSC25;
and a challenge from a couple of weeks ago for Flower Soft-Favorite FS Colors...which mine at the moment is Polar White!

Thank you for visiting my 'snowy' blog...have fun with the rest of the hop and enjoy your weekend!

...many thanks Michelle!

It's {ippity} Monday and what a fantastic day it is!
The one sad thing about today is that Michelle Ogdahl is leaving Unity.  Michelle has been instrumental in the successful start of helping to get the {ippity} line off the ground and what a fabulous time we are all having because of {ippity}!

My card today is for Michelle which simply says "many thanks"! I truly am grateful for all that she's done for us {ippity} chicks and wish her the best in her new endeavor!
You will be missed Michelle!
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Stamps: {ippity} Bitty Pixie Paisley, So this is Love, Dots for Sure
C/S: SU Brilliant Blue, Pale Plum, Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento Noir, Copics: V06, V09, V93, B21, B24
Technique: 'stamp kissing'...inked the plant stamp with Pale Plum, inked the Dots for Sure stamp with Memento Noir, then stamped the plant stamp with the Dots for Sure stamp, and then stamped the plant stamp onto the c/s to get that double stamped look.

Aren't those ribbons yummy?...the lavender/blue irridescent ribbon and blue twill ribbon are both from Really Reasonable Ribbons; ZVA Pearls are colored with Copics to match; used a tiny bit of blue twine; and Spica Glitter pens on the flower tips (which you can't see in the pic, but it's a little shiny!).

"MANY THANKS" for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!
Best wishes Michelle!

{ippity} Bookmarks

Hi there H{ippity} Hoppers! It's Monday and a fantastic {ippity} Labor Day today!

One of the {ippity} challenges last week was to create something with a 'school' theme, IHHC39.  Since I love books, I decided to make a couple of bookmarks. I like flat bookmarks, because I don't like to make any marks in book pages, so here's a quick project:

Stamps: All {ippity}-Books a Flutter, A Little Buggy, Alphabetically Adorable
C/S: SU-Chocolate Chip, MME-Beloved and Quite Contrary, Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento Noir, Rich Cocoa, Copics, VersaMark
Accessories: Black EP, Smooch-Gold, Carrol and Green Apple, Grosgrain ribbons, eyelet, corner punch

Enjoy the hop and this fabulous Labor Day!

~I have a Play Date with All Things Unity~

Okay, so yes, I wasn't sure what to put as my title on this post...do you like it? It represents two challenge blogs that I made a card for, which are

Before I give all the details, here is my card creation:
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Stamps: Unity March 2010 KOM: Rockin' It Unity Style
C/S: SU Purely Pomegranate, Sahara Sand, Pure Mustard; MME Wild Asparagus, Neenah Solar White
Ink: SU Purely Pomegranate, More Mustard; Memento Noir, Copics E00, E01, E31, Y17, R89
Accessories: Purely Pomegrantate Satin Ribbon, sponging technique, paper piecing technique, MS punch

All Things Unity: I had wanted to participate in their challenges, 'cause you know that I love Unity stuff and that's what they are all about "Unity Stamp Co" sets...so finally I'm doing it! The challenge HERE is called What's your Flavor? Well, I'm not really sure if I have a specific flavor of creating at this point, but I sure know that I love bows...hence the bow in my card.  If you want to get your submission in at the last minute...hurry, tonight is the cut off!

Play Date Cafe: I love their challenges and have been absent for a while, so yay, here I am! The Challenge this week is to use some dark and rich colors in the picture below.  I thought my colors from Stampin' Up of Purely Pomegranate, More Mustard, and Sahara Sand fit perfectly for them. If you want to join in on the fun, get your challenge creation in HERE by Tuesday, 9/7 before midnight!

I appreciate that you came by today...have a fabulous Labor Day weekend! Enjoy!

Silver Peace

Happy Friday Unity Friends! Did you take in all the Design Team inspiration yesterday? And, if that wasn't enough, I'm sure you're taking in all the inspiration today! I am so proud to be able to join these ladies who hop on Friends with Flair Friday...you guys are so inspiring!

Here's the link to the Unity blog if you need to start at the beginning of the hop...there sure is some gorgeous art along the way!

I was eyeing my Unity Hodge Podge of Happiness set that has been unloved lately, and saw the musical poinsettia...knew right away that I wanted to create something with it.  I wasn't sure about these colors, but in real life the silver card stock 'shines' and the poinsettia is the 'split negative' technique with black and silver embossing.  I used my Worn Music background stamp and embossed that in black too, with the 'Peace' sentiment coming from {ippity} Season of Joy.
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Oh, I almost forgot...I was inspired by the Hip Hop Sketch Challenge #23 {HHSC23}:

Thanks so much for coming by, may you enjoy a day of Peace and have a peaceful weekend!

Next on the list is GWEN...enjoy!
