H{ippity} Hop Monday!

Yup, it's H{ippity} Hop time, so make sure to visit all the {ippity} blogs to enjoy all the awesome inspiration!

Okay, if anyone has noticed, I have a 'Copic Certified Designer' tag on my right sidebar...YES, I am officially COPIC CERTIFIED!  It was last Monday that I attended the certification class with Jennie Black...she is totally adorable and so sweet!  It was her first official certification class that she taught, so since Marianne (Copic guru who colors magnificently) happened to be in town she came to assist her.  It was so much fun to have them both at this class, and Marianne is truly fun.

The {ippity} challenge this week is "SCALLOPS-IHHC20", so of course, I wanted to play. I used one of the scallop stamps from Sweet Thoughts of Spring for my grass on pattern paper.  I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa onto white c/s and colored everything.  I don't have ALL of the Copic markers and I really need more 'greens' to blend my greens together, but this was as close as I could get for now.
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Stamps: Straight from the Heart and Sweet Thoughts of Spring (if you would like to purchase these sets, go to my left sidebar and click on my {ippity} link)
C/S: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, DSP, GP White
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Copics
Accessories: Certainly Celery Polytwill Ribbon, pop dots, Crystal Effects

Thanks so much for coming by and have a H{ippity} Monday!

Studio 313 has a solution for you!

You've had one of those days when you needed a card and didn't have one made for the occasion, right? Don't you sometimes wish that you didn't have to search through your stash to figure out which embellies and papers to use?

Shawne at Studio 313 knows that we all have those days.  That's why she created 'Card on a Sheet'!  You get a main image, the designer paper, the border and a sentiment or two ALL in one sheet, AND it's already pre-colored!  All you need to do is PRINT, CUT and PUT IT TOGETHER and ~VOILA~ your card is done!  You could add other embellies if you'd like, but you really don't need to.

I used the Designer Birthday Cake Set to make this card.  All I did was score some lines to frame the image, and add some ribbon...
From Studio 313
Here's the inside sentiment:

Digital Set: Studio 313--Designer Birthday Cake
C/S: Purely Pomegranate, white
Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Silk Ribbon, String

Now how easy was that?!!  Go check out Studio 313 today!  There's a challenge going on with a great prize and you don't want to miss out....go HERE and play today!

'Coach...you hit a homerun!'

It's the Wednesday Whimsy Haven Blog Hop...and you scored with all the Design Team's eye candy today!  You should have come here from Amy's grand slam blog, right?!  Have YOU been to Whimsy Haven yet?  Have you seen Lindsay's digital images?  You'll sure hit a home run if you visit Whimsy Haven!  Oooh, and don't forget...there is an image for $1...TODAY only!

Heehee, okay, many of you know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE baseball!  My son practically plays it all year round 'cause...yes, we can, here in Phoenix (seriously, you get used to the heat)!  Since we play so much baseball, we ALWAYS need a 'COACH' card, so I decided to play again with the Field of Dreams set.  Now seriously, can you just think of a million things to make with these images?!!!

For my 'COACH' card I made an easel 'spinner' card.  What?  What am I talking about?  Well here..take a look, this is the front of the card (I put all the images together in PSE) and I made this into a little game...a spinner game...you play baseball by spinning the bats and whichever word the tip of the bat lands on that's your play (mine landed on a homerun, of course!):
From Whimsy Haven
Here is a close-up of the 'spinner bats' that I made:
From Whimsy Haven
This pic is the 'easel' card sitting on the coach's desk ready to play (the white space is where you would write your message):
From Whimsy Haven
And here is the entire inside of the card:
From Whimsy Haven
I needed a sentiment so for the inside, so I just typed up 'you hit a homerun!' and 'COACH' on my computer. ALL OTHER IMAGES ARE THE FIELD OF DREAMS SET, WHICH HAS 10 IMAGES~score!!!  Leave a comment on the DT blogs for a chance to win Journal Card Set!

Now if you want to see someone who hits it out of the ballpark every time, run to the very talented:  Jenny @ wee Memories!

Hope you have a Whimsy Haven kind of day!

{ippity} Money Holder and Easel Card

{ippity} time is here! I bet you've already seen some fantastic {ippity} inspiration on this hop!

From Unity and {ippity} Projects
I made this money envelope for the {ippity} challenge IHHC19, using the {ippity} Regal Greetings set. Used my new Tim Holtz die which created the awesome front flap. It's monochromatic, and has an organdy ribbon belly band to hold the envelope closed, yet is so easy to slip off. I didn't seal the sides, but rather placed organdy ribbon inside the top corners to give the envelope just enough room to see money inside.
Here's the inside view:
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Stamps: {ippity} Regal Greetings
C/S: SU Old Olive, MME 'quite contrary'
Ink: Old Olive, Versamark
Accessories: Tim Holtz Alterations Die: Plaque-Postage, Heidi Swapp Jewels, Metal Edge Tag, Organdy Ribbon, Tiny Attacher

This next card is a 'swap' that I participated in...an easel card using two {ippity} sets...Love in Return and Regal Greetings.  Hopefully, the swap girls will get this in the mail by today:

Stamps: {ippity} Regal Greetings and Love in Return
C/S: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, DCWV La Creme Stack
Ink: Palette Noir, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Black Brads, Scallop Punch, Ruler Ribbon
If you are interested in purchasing these sets, you may do so from me HERE. Every purchase thru Wednesday, April 21st, will get a free My Mind's Eye Sampler Paper Pack (12--6x6 double sided sheets of paper)!

It was so kind of you to stop by, I hope you have an {ippity} day! *smile*
P.S.  I will be late in doing the blog hop and commenting...'cause I will be in my Copic Certification Class all day..yippee!

Whimsy Haven's First Blog Hop Here!

This is the 2nd post today...please scroll down for 'Share your {ippity} Blog Hop post...

Yay!  I'm so excited to be part of Whimsy Haven's Design Team and WELCOME to the first official DT Blog Hop!  Lindsay has created such FABulous digital images to work with!

Now, you should be arriving here from Amy's blog, and if you didn't  please start at the beginning at Whimsy Haven blog.  You don't want to miss out on the Whimsy goodness AND a prize will be given to one lucky commenter from one of the DT blogs!

***NOTE*** Lindsay has a new image on her blog ..$1...ONLY TODAY!
I'm sharing the 'Field of Dreams'  digital images in my project today. At baseball games, I am always needing a convenient journal which fits in my purse. This is why I had the idea to make this journal with these, did I say, 'FABulous' baseball images!

I created the journal out of the baseball diamond image, embossed and distress inked it.  Then I made signatures (book binding lingo for the pages inside) and tied them in the book.  The pages are the same shape as the book covers and I printed the images on each page to give it a little variety.  Let me know what you think about this project!

Do you play with many sketches?  What is it that you like the most?  I love the inspiration that comes from a sketch.  But, even better is when you see Design Teams and their interpretation of the sketch, and you think to yourself 'I should have done that!'.  *smile*

Bonnie partnered with 2 Sketches 4 You  for this hop today.  What a fabulous site with sketches!  I had to join in on the fun, so I am going to play with Kazan's Sketch 50:

Here is my take on the sketch using {ippity} Regal Greetings stamp set:

My {ippity} post is just below this one, please scroll down, or now that you're here, take a look at my good news:

I am sooooo excited! I made my first Design Team! Where, you ask...at Whimsy Haven!  You know Lindsay Spencer, right? She started a new shop with digital images that are FABulous!  You may also know her as a Unity Stamp Co artist and at E.A.D. Designs.  I am sooooo loving the new variety of digital images that she is creating...you've got to check them out at Whimsy Haven!

Check out the new Design Team announcement HERE!  These are some spectacular girls!

I am sharing two cards that I made with one of her digital images called 'Dress in the Making'...don't you just love this image?!!! I used a sentiment from {ippity} Just wanted to Say..., and I also added a little birdie from Hero Arts to tie a bow on the dress...isn't it cute?
From Whimsy Haven
Here's another card that I made with the 'Dress in the Making' image, added a sentiment from my Unity March KOM, and take a look at the bottom edge of the dress:

10 things...

Happy H{ippity} Hop Monday to you and welcome to the world of {ippity}!  I took Eryn's IHHC18 challenge and made a tri-fold card for the first time.  I knew I wanted to use Kiwi Kiss as my base c/s and as I was browsing through my {ippity} sets, I spied my 'Love in Return' set.  I love that you could use this set for any kind of project, and all of a sudden I thought "it's about time to give my son some kind words"!  At school today, his AIMS testing starts and I'm putting this card in his backpack as a little surprise and (hopefully) a boost of confidence to put a smile on his face.

I used two {ippity} stamp sets and matched them up with papers from My Minds Eye (these owls are toooo cute) and SU (I so love Kiwi Kiss!).  I also have Kiwi Kiss Corduroy buttons, so I had to use them with a little circle flower that I made to cup the button.
From Unity and {ippity} Projects

I inserted a photo of him and also one of him with his favorite little cousin blowing bubbles (his cousin just adores him).  I know that photo will bring a smile to his face.
Card opened:

Sports Theme Layout

I used to enter into a lot of 'swaps' with my Stampin' Up friends for SUO (Stampin' Up Only).  This means you can only use SU items, and rarely do you use another branded item (unless SU doesn't make it).

One hostess with the mostest is my friend Cindy...she ALWAYS has such fabulous swaps and they have a great participation rate too.  So, when I saw that she was hosting a swap for 6x6 pages, I decided to join in!  You see, I have many 6x6 books of pages that I've created mainly for my son's pictures.  I signed up for four 6x6 double layouts, each with a different theme.  We had to make 5 exact copies (without the pictures of course), and they had to have four layers.

One of the double layouts I signed up for was to use a 'Sports theme'.  Of course, for me, 'life is baseball'..heehee.  As you can tell, I like to have some things 'lined up':

Close-ups:

Stamps: SU Sporting
C/S: Brilliant Blue, Only Orange (textured and regular), Whisper White
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Only Orange
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon, Square Punches, Star Punch, SU Backgrounds I-Sizzix Textures Plates

P.S.  Stampin' Up! announced LOTS of the colors that they are retiring, and my two favorites for baseball are Brilliant Blue and Only Orange...gotta order more before it goes!
I will share the other layouts in the next few days...thank you for taking a look!

FEELING FANTASTIC, right?

I am sneezing and have a box of tissues with me as I'm writing this post...  It's Friday and it's now been two weeks that I have been absent from my blog.  Spring Break week was pretty busy, and then the allergy season hit me hard...dealing with it still, and I have one word for allergies....UGH!  Itchy eyes too...sure makes it fun when wearing mascara...ha!

I have missed all of you wonderful Unity Friends!  I even missed the first and second Hip Hop, and I feel like I don't know what's going on!  *smile*  So I'm back on FwFF, and will get back on schedule with Unity...yay, for Unity!

Here's a quick and simple paper pieced card using the Unity KOM for March--Rockin' it Unity Style and the Unity HHSC02 sketch:
